Hi, I’m Bay Mourer. I’m a speaker and writer with a passion for helping young people Live Out Loud! by finding your gifts, using your voice, and living your calling.
Everyone has a choice. You’re not alone in trying to find out what your gifts and talents are. You don’t have to feel like you’re not going anywhere or that people can hear what your saying.
The truth is, there is hope! That hope is available to all of us! I’m just a guide that can help you see that by minimizing the noise, doubt, and complexity in your life you can follow the life plan that has been prepared for you.
You said you’re a speaker?
Yes, one of my greatest passions is getting on stage and talking to groups about some of the things I write about. I’ve been to a lot of boring classes and meetings that I take it as a competitive challenge to make sure that the audiences I talk to are energized, excited and prepared with a plan after one of my presentations.
My messages are centered on you. For each group I customize the conversation to get the most engagement out of the audience. Young people communicate very differently then a room full of parents so a presentation just wouldn’t be received the same way if you don’t make it fit for what you need.
If you’re hosting an event then I want to make sure the content and subject is what you want to achieve meets your expectations. You can see more about my speaking information on my speaking page. I would be happy to talk more about coming to your event and speaking so let’s start the conversation here.
So what do you write about?
I’m glad you asked. This blog is about encouraging you to keep focused on what the central part of your life really is. I write about using biblically based truths to answer some of the craziest questions you might have.
Here’s a few examples:
- Find Your Gifts – You have been given an amazing gift to share with others. You might not know what it is yet, but your gifts and talents were given to you to have an impact on the world. It’s time for you to find out what that is and show the world.
- Use Your Talents – You have so many talents that you can use to show your gift to the world! It’s important to understand when we know what our gift is we have to use them to make an impact. I write about the “how”.
- Live Your Calling – You’ve been called to be loved, love others, and to serve. Thankfully, there’s a great action plan that we’ll talk about that takes the mystery out of it.
Not everything will fit perfectly into one of the groups above so there might be occasional thoughts of greatness from others I respect or humor that can help lighten your day.
I’ll write a new blog post once a week. The best way to keep up to date on what I’ve written is by signing up to receive my blog posts. You will receive awesome content from me and your email is never going to be shared with other people out there to send you stuff. We live in a very social world so please tell your friends about what you like by posting on Facebook or Twitter.
What’s your story?
It’s pretty simple really. I have an amazing family and think that being a dad and husband are the best jobs in the world! I feel so passionate about it that I thought I should share what I’ve learned with as many people that I can. Speaking and writing is a great way for me to reach as many people as possible on a consistent basis.
I graduated from Oklahoma State University and for the last 15 years I’ve worked at a big corporation and had many different jobs and led a lot of different people. That experience has helped me realize that communicating with others is my gift to share.
The best part of me is that I love God and use His Word (The Bible) as my road map to being successful every day. I’m not perfect, but feel as though I need to share how much we are loved and how our lives can improve by walking with Him.
I am married to the love of my life and best friend in the world. She truly is amazing and we love to laugh together and play with the two amazing sons that we’ve been so blessed to share this life with. Kids are such an awesome reminder of how precious life is and how we have to be an example of them to be better than we are.
In my free time I enjoy spending time out side with the family, fishing, camping, and playing baseball. We’ve been blessed with an amazing church (James River Church) and we are part of the kids ministry where I’m on the chapel team. I get really excited when I can be on stage and share a message and help them to know that they are loved, even if they might not feel it at the time.
